Weddings

As a small family run business, we offer a personal, bespoke, and practical approach to couples who decide to hold their special day at our venue. Our venue offers a great deal in terms of flexibility and opportunity to ensure that you and your guests have a fabulous day.

Whilst many wedding venues offer packages, we decided not to do this as we believe that one price does not fit all. We also don’t offer bronze, silver, and gold options.
Our wedding’s usually stray off the ‘traditional’ path, nothing that we do is like anywhere else, we don’t do average, normal or standard we aim for original, authentic, and wonderful.

We work alongside you to help you create your own special day, exactly (as much as possible, e.g we can’t rely on the weather!) as you want it.
We can help with small intimate weddings from 4 people in our Anvil room, up to 44 seated in our Conservatory and up to 160 seated in our Cruck Marquee
We had our wedding party in the Tipi’s there and it was perfect. Great venue!
The hog roast and roasties were delicious, 
Prices were very reasonably. Staff were helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend the Tipi’s for events.

THE ANVIL ROOM

The original bar room of the pub, where the blacksmith and his family served their ale over 200 years ago. This private room has since been refurbished! Suitable for a maximum of 30 seated guests. Ideal for meetings, training sessions, baby showers, birthdays, and small wedding receptions.

The Conservatory dining room

An extension to the original building leading from our main bar area. This is a bright, light, and airy room, complete with a wood burning stove it is very cosy in colder months. The conservatory can seat up to 44 guests, patio doors from this room lead to our garden. Ideal for larger gatherings, tables can be booked to suit numbers attending, or the whole pub can be hired for private use.

The Cruck Marquee and garden

The Cruck Marquee is an impressive and original structure. With large clear walls the space is flooded with natural daylight. Suitable for a maximum of 160 seated, or 200 for a standing/seated event. The marquee is available for all year-round use, heaters keep it toasty warm inside during colder months.

There is a bar inside the marquee and an outside bar in the large garden. A variety of garden tables and furniture for your guests to relax on in good weather.

CATERING

At the Hammer and Pincers we offer a wide range of catering options, including hog roasts, buffets, BBQ’s, pizza’s and 3 course menus’.

To help you work out the cost of your wedding at The Hammer and Pincers please use our spreadsheet to select the hire, wedding ceremony, drinks, and food that you require.

This is intended as a guide, finer details such as menus, wine, entertainment, timings, decorations, etc. will need to be discussed further and agreed upon before a final quote is given to you.
